BMW 1.Klasse - Highspeed Train Interior

Travel is an essential part of modern life, yet the way we travel today comes with significant challenges. Cars and airplanes generate high levels of CO₂ emissions, extensive road infrastructure consumes valuable land, and traffic congestion, accidents, and time pressure often turn traveling into a stressful experience rather than an enjoyable one.
The "1st Class" High-Speed Train project addresses these issues by reimagining rail travel as a sustainable, comfortable, and desirable alternative. Through a premium interior concept that combines privacy, relaxation, and immersive travel experiences, the project demonstrates how high-speed rail can become the preferred choice over driving or flying.

The carriage features private cabins that can be individually booked, providing passengers with a personal and relaxing environment throughout their journey. A digital experience allows travelers to virtually slow down the passing scenery, encouraging them to appreciate the landscape instead of simply passing through it. At the heart of the carriage, a spacious central lounge serves as a social hub where passengers can meet, relax, and interact.
At one end of the carriage, individual seating units called Privacy Pills offer maximum privacy for focused work, entertainment, or relaxation. Together, these features redefine high-speed rail as a comfortable, efficient, and sustainable way of traveling, designed to compete directly with the convenience and appeal of the private car.
